CURRENT VACANCIES:

Mini Bus Driver

Due to increasing pupil numbers, we have opportunities for minibus drivers to join our friendly team, providing a safe, professional and courteous transport service.

Candidates will need to be confident in interacting with children and be able to maintain a good atmosphere on the bus.  Drivers will need to have a warm and flexible approach, be able to show initiative and work well on their own and as part of a team.

Drivers are required to hold a current unrestricted D1 entitlement, driver CPC card and tacho card or willing to undergo training.

This is a part-time role, with a range of different hours available including mornings, afternoons and evenings, or a combination.

Salary is up to £12.00 per hour for fully-qualified drivers.

Casual Recreational Assistants - Lifeguards

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic and suitably qualified Recreational Assistants (Lifeguards) at Westonbirt School to perform a variety of tasks associated with the operation of Westonbirt Leisure Centre including Lifeguarding.

We are seeking candidates who already hold a RLSS Lifeguarding Qualification or with the ability to obtain within three months.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic and suitably qualified Casual Swimming Teacher/ coaches at Westonbirt School to join our Swimming Academy Team.

We are seeking candidates who hold a valid Swim England Level 2 or equivalent Swim Teaching Qualification and RLSS or NRASTC Lifeguarding Qualification  

Current Hours available: 

  • Wednesdays 4.30pm – 6.30pm
  • Fridays 4pm – 7pm
  • Saturdays 9am – 1pm
  • Saturdays 1pm – 3pm
  • Sundays 9am – 12pm

Classes include private 1:1 lessons and group lessons in line with Learn to Swim Stages 1-7

A Parent & Baby qualification is desirable, but not required.

Leisure Centre Receptionist

We are looking to recruit a Leisure Centre Receptionist to be the first point of contact for all members, customers and visitors to the Leisure Centre, to provide an excellent customer focused service, to provide administration and operational duties at the Leisure Centre.

13.5 hours per week - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 4pm to 7.30pm and Thursdays 3pm to 6.30pm. Year-round with annual leave to be taken in the school holiday period.

Salary dependant on experience.

Fixed Term Painter and Decorator

Fixed Term Painter and Decorator

We are looking to recruit a fixed term Painter and Decorator to work as part of a team of Painters and Decorators and other skilled tradesmen within a leading independent boarding school based in a stately home. The Fixed Term Painter and Decorator will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint as required as part of the essential maintenance of all school building as well as projects.

Full time, 39 hours per week to be flexible around the needs of the business. The start date for this role will be dependent upon the receipt of satisfactory safeguarding checks but hopefully mid-March 2021 and will finish in September 2021.

Duty Manager

Duty Manager

Vacancies has arisen for Full Time or Part Time Duty Managers within our Leisure Centre at Westonbirt Schools.

The Duty Manager position will ensure the efficient operation of the department within Westonbirt Leisure brand including but not limited to the Sports Centre in compliance with local and national legislation.

We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years leisure industry experience (may be part time) who are confident communicator at all levels, can show evidence of success as an individual and as part of a team has a Flexible approach to working hours and holds a current RLSS lifeguard qualification.

5/7 in line with the working rotas. Hours not fixed.  A flexible approach to working hours is necessary to perform this role.  This will include weekends and evening working.

Salary: £ 21,000 FTE.

Director of Estates and Services

Director of Estates and Services

The Director of Estates & Services (“DES”) is responsible for ensuring the school’s infrastructure and support services effectively contribute to the delivery of educational excellence.

The Director of Estates and Services will work closely with the Heads and the Wishford team to lead the work of the Estates and Support Services Teams at Westonbirt School, ensuring a high quality of delivery of services including Estates, Operational Compliance, Administration, IT, Security, Housekeeping, Transport, Health and Safety and Catering.

The Director of Estates and Services is a member of the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that the school meets its aims and objectives through the delivery of the School Development Plan and the strategic and effective use of resources.

Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Buildings Maintenance Manager at Westonbirt Schools.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordinating the works of the Maintenance Team and for ensuring that items which require maintenance are working as expected and required in line with the School’s policies and procedures. This is a supportive hands-on role. There is an expectation to support the team from the ground as required.

We are seeking candidates with a construction background, a good understanding and knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations and ongoing PPM requirements, site safety, permit to work systems and emergency planning as well as the experience and competence to carry out most basic trade works within the carpentry, plumbing and painting spheres. A trade qualification would be desirable.

Schools Health and Wellbeing Nurse (Part Time)

(Part Time)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Schools Health and Wellbeing Nurse at Westonbirt Schools.

The Health and Wellbeing Nurse is required to be responsible for providing medical care to boarding and day pupils of Westonbirt School and first aid care to all members of the school community.  In addition, they will ensure that all the relevant administration associated with this duty of care is properly maintained and in line with school policy.

We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years’ experience in school or health care with previous experience in either Practice nursing or School nursing.

The opportunity has arisen for a School Secretary to join the Headmistresses busy administrative team at Westonbirt School. The School Secretary is responsible for providing administrative duties for the School including proactive communication with parents, pupils and colleagues.

25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 2.30pm (flexible), term time only (34 weeks).
